Use & Maintenance. Rinse the fountain and filter before first use. Fill with cold water up to the MAX mark, plug in the USB cable, and allow the pump to prime. Change the carbon filter every 2 to 4 weeks depending on the number of pets, and clean the pump with diluted white vinegar once a month. Do not wash the electric pump in the dishwasher.
